Arnold, CA...Chapel in the Pines is an Evangelical Covenant church located in the Sierra Nevada mountain community of Arnold. Arnold is an attraction for many visitors due to the many recreation opportunities, such as Big Trees State Park, Bear Valley Ski Resort, Lake Alpine, Ebbetts Pass, and more.

We hear the fish are jumpin' at Lake Alpine and now you can get to the campgrounds at Spicer, Utica & Union.
Water Tower at the Brice Station Summer Concert Series

Murphys, CA..."Water Tower is this wonderful band that is made up of "the lost boys"... it's like a soup kitchen for those in need of belonging and family who have been through some of the experiences they have overcome" ~ Grand Ole Country Bunker. Frontman Kenny Feinstein has spent more than 15 years curating the band to what it is today. In 2005 he began performing and recording with the Water Tower Bucket Boys then modified members and style as Water Tower String Band. In 2018 he moved from his Portland Oregon roots to Los Angeles where he began the new iteration of the band as known simply as Water Tower.

Arts of Bear Valley Pop-up Summer Show in Downtown Murphys

Murphys, CA...Murphys, known for its vibrant art scene, will host Arts of Bear Valley's first art exhibit and sale in the downtown area. For ten days in June (June 7 through June 16), eighteen artists will fill Ruby Parlor #46 (Angele O'Conner Hall)—the site of the Native Daughters of the Golden West—on Main Street with remarkable art.
Nancy Macomber paintings are influenced by her long experience as a quilter. She will join 18 artists to exhibit her art work at the art show in downtown Murphys June 7 through June 16.
Larisa Stevenson will show her delicate pottery and whimsical ceramic sculptures along with 18 other artists Ruby Parlor #46 (Angele O'Conner Hall) in downtown Murphys June 7 through June 16.

Angels Camp, CA...We stopped by the Angels Camp Farmers Market Season Opening Day on Friday Evening. It is great to see the market back in action again for the season. The museum grounds are a wonderful venue with plenty of parking at the church next door. A few photos and a bit of video is below...
Hermit Valley, CA...We know sometimes it's hard when you live in a concrete jungle to connect with nature. So if you are reading this down in the Bay Area or Valley and can't make it up. Here is a few seconds of a high mountain creek whenever you need to clear your mind of what man says is "progress". You're Welcome :).
