John R.Peterson, the longtime editor and publisher of the Calaveras Prospect and Calaveras Californian, passed away on Thursday, July 9th in San Andreas at the age of 87, surrounded by his loving family. He will be deeply missed by his family and many Calaveras County residents as he had a large impact on our county. Our thoughts and prayers go out to this family during this very difficult time.
