Angels Camp, CA...The 2024 Frog Jump Champion is 86 Years Young Lillian Fasano Jockeying "The Frog Father" Jumps 20 Feet, 5 & 1/2 Inches. The white line in the photos below is the Rosie the Ribiter's 21 feet, 5 3/4 inches record from 1986. If "The Frog Father's" shadow in the jump is correct he was even closer to breaking the record than the judge's mark. Full Finals Video and Hundreds of photos up later this eve.

Angels Camp, CA...The Ladies from Soroptimist International did another great job putting on the 2024 Frog Jump Youth Parade that is one of the kick events on opening day of the Calaveras County Fair & Frog Jump Jubilee every year. Not only does it showcase small town Americana with youth floats, dance groups & marching bands it also highlights our area's Mark Twain History and celebrating the Frog Jumping tale that not only put Twain's career on the map but is woven into our local lore. This year Tom & Becky returned from Hannibal, MO Tom's boyhood home to highlight our shared histories. We have 79 photos below from this morning and full parade video will be up soon as well. Arnold, CA...It's Back! The Community Pancake Breakfast, previously put on by the Arnold Lions Club outside of Ebbetts Pass Gas in Arnold during Memorial Day, the 4th of July Parade, & Labor Day, will return this year! GABA Board members are so excited to bring back this local tradition!!!

Arnold, CA...On May 4th Independence Hall was filled with Firewise community members on hand to hear the latest from District 3 Supervisor Martin Huberty, Ebbetts Pass Fire District Chief Mike Johnson, the CC Sheriff's Office & Office of Emergency Servicess, CAL FIRE, CCWD, and more. There were also many booths for additional resources and community services. BBQ lunch was provided by Cal-Waste! Supervisor Huberty was thrilled by the turnout and reminded people to sign up for emergency notification services. Even some of the VIP's dogs showed up for the occasion.
