31st Annual Murphys Gold Rush Street Faire is October 7th!
Murphys, CA...The 31st Murphys Annual Gold Rush Street Faire will fill Main Street in Murphys, California this Saturday October 7, 2023 10 a.m. to 5 pm. Main Street in Murphys, California will temporarily become a pedestrian mall on October 7 when the Gold Rush Street Faire, a popular long-lived event, hosts over 60 artisans and crafts people selling their wares. This small-town event hits it big with shopping, music, and the iconic tri-tip pit barrel barbecue sandwiches sold by Feeney Park Volunteers to support the local community sports fields. Dao’s Delights, a local vendor specializing in fresh lemonade and Vietnamese spring rolls will supplement the culinary offerings. Local restaurants will be open during the event.

The Annual Gold Rush Street Faire partners with the Calaveras Winegrape Alliance Grape Stomp competition and the Calaveras Visitors Bureau to draw crowds from all over California and beyond.

The Feeney Park Foundation organizes the 31st Murphys Annual Gold Rush Street Faire, now in its 31 year, as a fundraiser for Feeney Park, a community resource supported entirely by volunteers.

For vendor or Faire information contact: Vendor Coordinator, Feeney Park Foundation Chloe at MurphysGoldRushStreetFaire@yahoo.com

Hannah, owner of Mere Jubilee Watercolor will be one of 60 vendors at the Murphys Gold Rush Street Faire on October 7, 2023.

Tri-tip and Treasures: Murphys Gold Rush Street Faire transforms Main Street in October

But it’s the artisans and crafts people who make this event special. According to Chloe, volunteer and vendor coordinator for the Faire, “We have an unbelievably talented group of vendors and artisans coming to share their work.” Visitors will find handmade ceramics, fine art, jewelry, candles, original clothing and fiber art, as well as metal work fountains and yard treasures.

The street faire complements festivities that extend beyond the Murphys Main Street. “There’s an incredible simultaneous event right behind Main Street,’ Chloe added. “It’s called Grape Stomp, hosted by the Calaveras Winegrape Alliance. There’s a fierce stomping competition all day long in the park directly behind Main Street.”

“It’s a very family-friendly day. The street is closed so people can leisurely walk around, find neat gifts, home goods, yard art—so many unique things—and enjoy all of the shops in town too.”

It’s never to early to start shopping for the holidays. Chloe said, “It will provide you with the best opportunity for Christmas gifts ever. It’s a perfect event to get a bunch of cool stuff for your friends and family.”

There is still space for vendors. For more information and for a downloadable application, go to www.feeneypark.org
