Colorful Pickles -Amador/Calaveras County Master Food Preserver Classes

Jackson, CA ... Master Food Preserver Janis Bass will be giving a class in Colorful Pickles on Saturday, April 12, 2014 in the Amador County GSA Building, 12200-B Airport Road, Jackson. The class will be from 10 am to noon. All classes are free. Food Preservation classes are sponsored by Amador/Calaveras County Master Food Preserver monthly at alternating locations.
For more information, call 209-223-6857, email acmfp@ucdavis.edu, or visit http://ucanr.edu/mfpcs

When you hear the word pickle, do you think about dill pickles and pickle chips for your burger? There's so much more to explore in the world of pickles! See and taste a variety of colorful pickles, guess what fruit/vegetable they are, then learn how they were made. Master Food Preservers will also demonstrate how to make sauerkraut.
This class is free and no reservations are required.
Location: Amador County GSA Building, 12200-B Airport Road, Jackson
