Hwy 4 Ebbetts & Hwy 108 Sonora Passes Reopen Ahead of Thanksgiving Travel

Lake Alpine, CA...The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) opened State Route 108/Sonora Pass at 1:00 p.m. and Route 4/Ebbetts Pass at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 15, 2021, after a storm closure. Last week, District 10 opened Route 89/Monitor Pass.

Crews removed snow, ice, fallen trees and debris from a recent winter storm in the Sierra Nevada. Though the roads are open, they still may be wet and slick, so please drive safely and be alert for crews and equipment in the area.

For the safety of workers and other motorists, please Be Work Zone Alert. For the latest road conditions, visit Quickmap.dot.ca.gov.

Glad to see the passes open. Not happy the ski areas won't be open for Thanks Giving, they could use the extra revenue after the last 2 years. Interesting how mainstream maniacs on the left use every avenue to spew their hate and ignorance. Biden is only biding his time waiting for the next episode of "Weekend with Bernie".

And when some dotards want to prove their point, they pull up info from msnbc or one of the big 3.
            Can't have it both ways.
Most of us know it's farce if it comes fromOAN or FauxNews.
            Passes open? Awesome.
Sorry for Bear Valley, but glad we won't have to endure ski numbnuts in the local markets.
