30s, way too young to die, senseless, easily preventable. However, with almost half our county population CHOOSING to remain unvaccinated these deaths are inevitable. So it goes. Have a good time, kill yourself.

No it is not easily preventable for people overweight or underlying problems. There are many factors you choose to ignore here.

This county needs to put out a tally by age. Majority who died in the county were elderly trapped in that nursing home run by a certain person...... I

Are they counting all those elderly who oddly died in the beginning? Right before it was acknowledged that the virus was here.

Yes, we need to be made aware of the virus and how it is spreading and reminded to take the precautions we can. Or you can just put your head back under the sand like the rest of the Trumpsters.

And for tpt to give their opinion that mandates are useless, as in the previous HPC story, further fuels the dotards in this county.
    Vaccinations are a choice.
If you don't believe you fair better symptomatically, that's your choice.
No vaccine. No mask. Your choice.
Antibodies may/may not be what keeps you from serious symptoms.
Unfortunately, hospital beds are filling up and keeping patients with other ailments from getting proper treatment.

There excuse was they don't keep track of the data. Yet, every other County releases that info. I personally know many nurses from the hospital and have been told that most if not all the deaths have not been vaccinated.

Agreed, it should be provided and cases by district as they were early on in the pandemic. Rather than make it a political issue, so that residents can best understand what areas most prevalent. Limited, after the fact numbers do little to protect the public's health.

You idiots don’t understand that A MAJORITY of the unvaccinated are MINORITIES hence Demodummies. They do not trust government (can you blame them) but keep watching CNN. For that matter ol Gavin is allowing infected vaccinated medical staff back into hospitals but not healthy unvaxxed. And you wonder why nobody trust the government. Liberals are tools!

How long you lived in Calaveras County?
We don't have Minorities of color.
The Minorities that live here are educated folk.
The Majority here is white and uneducated. High School diploma at Calaveras High doesn't count.

You are so uninformed. You do realize vaccination status at least until now has followed political party affiliation. It is the GOP and Libertarian population primarily unvaccinated in Calaveras County. The ones who said talk of a virus was overblown, that it's just like a flu and needs to run its course through the population. Looks like you're getting your wish.

And so the second wave begins in Calaveras as the virus finds a foothold among the deniers and non-vaccinated. It's going to be a very difficult period for many. Condolences for the young man's family and loved ones.
