**Deputies Respond to Shooting in Long Barn, Homicide Investigation Occurring**

Right now, Tuolumne County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a homicide in the area of Long Barn Road near Circle Drive in Long Barn. Around 10:10 Wednesday evening, deputies responded with lights and sirens to a report of a man who had been shot at a residence. While deputies were in route to the location, additional gunshots were reported, and a second gunshot victim was reported.

When deputies arrived, they ordered multiple people out of the residence, including the suspect who was taken into custody. Deputies entered the residence and located a man who had been shot. The man was pronounced deceased on scene. A second person with gunshot wounds was transported by medics to an air ambulance.

Detectives were requested to continue the investigation and process the scene. Right now, Detectives are on scene actively investigating. We are asking our community to stay clear of the area while our investigators do their work. We will continue to post updates on our social media platforms.
