All Day Angels Camp's Light Up The Night Decoration Challenge
Angels Camp, CA...Cuddle up the kids (and adults!) into those matching Christmas footie pj’s and load into the car to tour Angels Camp homes and businesses decked out for the holidays! The Angels Camp Business Association, Angels Camp Community Club, and Bank of Stockton are hosting the second annual Light Up the Night Christmas lights tour of the city, and they need you to vote for the best decorations! Download the map here starting December 3, 2021, drive around Angels Camp to check out the lights, then vote for your favorites.


December 11, 2021 is the finale and last chance to vote, wave to Santa, hear Christmas caroling, and get treats for the kiddos. There will also be donation stations on the route for Toys For Tots at the Angels Camp Museum and Calaveras Lumber, and The Resource Connection will have a donation station at Calaveras Lumber for the local food bank. You can’t help but get into the Christmas spirit with this fun, family-friendly, small-town event.

Mokelumne Hill, CA...Mountain Melody Women’s Chorus Is presenting a Winter Concert Series called “Mountain Melody Is ‘Together Again’ ” After a long year-plus of Covid-19 restrictions and lockdown, Mountain Melody is once again performing our Holiday program in some of our favorite Motherlode Venues!!


Classic Christmas Songs and Carols

Our program will consist of a delightful mix of Classic Christmas Songs and Carols, as well as Jazzy arrangements of familiar Holiday tunes, lovely winter themed compositions, and a beautiful song from the movie “Polar Express.”

We ask again for a modest donation of $10 per person (of course, if this is a burden, please come regardless because we love you!)

These donations allow us to rent performance and practice space, and buy new music each session.

” THE BLACK IRISH BAND” – 30 YEARS OF CELTIC & AMERICANA MUSIC, 700 MUSICAL PERFORMANCES TO DATE, AND THE RELEASE OF 25+ RECORDED ALBUMS’…… FEATURING HISTORIC SONGS OF THE CELTS, MINERS, COWBOYS, RAILROADERS, SAILORS, AND FIREFIGHTERS…

Hailing from the historic Gold Rush Town of Sonora, California, the Black Irish Band of 30 years have a musical style that is as timeless as the rugged landscape of the west, a tribute to the people whose lives were spent building the world we now take for granted. The band has a large compliment of traditional maritime and railroad music, as well as ethnic tunes in their repertoire. They excel at Irish & Scottish, Italian, and American folk music with an assortment of original songs and traditional western ballads.

This will be a special Christmas show. The award-winning historic Sutter Creek Theatre is an intimate 215 seat former silent film theatre with superb sound. Voted Best Indie Theatre multiple times (KCRA A-List).
