Sonora Bach Festival Announces Four Classical Music Events for Festival’s 47th year.

Sonora, CA...The Sonora Bach Festival has announced its events for this coming Fall. They include the Youth Concert, October 1, at 3:00; the Local’s Concert, October 15, at 3:00; the Salon Concert, October 22, at 3:00; and the Bach’s Brunch, October 28 at 12:30. All concerts will be held at the Church of the 49ers in Columbia, except the Brunch, which will be held at Oak Hill Presbyterian Church in Sonora. The upstairs was home to the Sender family, and the first floor included groceries, a meat market, a bar, and a small eating place called Opa’s Smokehouse. On Christmas morning in 1968, the old store was destroyed by fire. But in June 1969, Sender’s Market, Inc. was opened. Since that time, there have been many changes, including remodeling, expansion, and the addition of many employees. That’s also when we added the truss plant and purchased Sender’s Market Ace Hardware in Valley Springs. Today, we’re still family owned and still working hard to stock everything from pantry essentials to power tools. A wealth of information will be available on senior support and health services, health insurance information, long term and short term care. Also participating are experts in chronic disease management, mental health, nutrition and personal well-being. Low cost health screening and services include the five-panel blood analysis, including chemistry panel, thyroid, complete blood count, lipid panel, iron for women, PSA for men, and vitamin D deficiencies for $45. Those participating in the blood analysis should fast after 10PM the night before. Flu shots will be offered at no cost.

Copperopolis, CA...On September 27th through October 4th, expect up to 10-minute traffic delays on State Route 4 between Pool Station Road and Appaloosa Road. Delays are scheduled from 7 a.m.- 5 p.m. (weekdays). Reduced construction speed limits of 45 mph remain in effect. Drivers are advised to drive slowly and with additional care.
