Spring was in the Air on as Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital Had a Wonderful Turnout for Their Health Fair!
Murphys, CA...This last Saturday Ironstone was packed for the MTSJ Spring Health Fair. When speaking with the Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation's , Peggy Lucas , she was ecstatic about the turnout and went on to say they had even taken bloodwork for testing on over 200 attendees. So if over 200 had their blood screened then the overall attendance must have been quite nice. MTSJ has a full month of activities planned. This week Olympic Gold Medalist and Cancer Survivor Peggy Fleming will be at Ironstone for a Wednesday luncheon...

“We are so pleased to bring Ms. Fleming to our “Let’s Talk Health” series as a community benefit of the Mark Twain Health Care District” said board member Robert Campana. “She has also had to contend with a family history of heart disease and knows from her own personal experience the impact of what complications from cancer and heart disease can have on a family. Her presentation will be very motivating to those in attendance.”
This is the first in the series of “Let’s Talk Health” presentations. Dr. Ryan Thompson will speak on “Autism: What Do We Know?” on March 10th, followed by Dan Savage on “Childhood Diabetes And Our Family” on March 17th and Dr. Rhoda Nussbaum on “Cervical Cancer Is Preventable”. $25 includes lunch and all presentations begin at noon.
