Copperopolis Rattlesnake Vaccination Clinic for Dogs May 23, 2010 - 11am to 1pm
Dr. Pollard DVM from Sonora will be hosting a vaccination clinic at Copper Elementary School this Sunday May 23rd to vaccinate your family pet dog for rattlesnake bites. The vaccination is completely safe for your dog and protects your pet when and if they are bitten by a rattler. This is an important vaccination for anyone that allows their dog outside and for any farm, hunting or guard dog....
Those of us that use our animals to alert us to dangers should realize that our dog’s main job is to protect us and he does whatever that takes including holding a rattler at bay when they enter the dog’s territory. The unfortunate part is we cannot explain to our dogs that the snakebite is poisonous.
We can however protect our protector by vaccinating them for the possible exposure to snake venom. After the vaccination any snakebite will enhance your dog’s ability to fight off the effects of a rattler’s venom.
Dr. Pollard will also have on hand all other types of vaccinations or boosters your dog may need at a very reasonable cost. People that own dogs in snake country owe it to your pet to get them this vaccination. Dr. Pollard’s outdoor clinic will be in the south parking lot of Copper Elementary next to the Extended Daycare Facility.
