Dr. Ian Renner Joins Active Medical Staff at Mark Twain St. Josephs Hospital
Ian Renner, M.D. has joined the active medical staff at Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital, specializing in Gastroenterology. Dr. Renner was one of the first gastroenterologists to use endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreaticography (ERCP) to treat pancreatic and biliary disorders. Dr. Renner completed his internal medicine and gastroenterology residencies at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide, South Australia after receiving his Medical Degree from Otago University Medical School in Dunedin, New Zealand. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, and is a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology. He taught and conducted research programs in Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Dr. Renner was Professor of Medicine at the University of Southern California School of Medicine where he practiced for twenty years. “We are very pleased to have such a renowned physician on our medical staff” said hospital president Feliciano Jiron. “His years of experience and medical interests are a perfect match for our communities.”
