Fatigue and Oak Tree Send Pair to Hospital
Murphys, CA..The CHP release is in for an early morning crash on Hwy 4 yesterday. A young Murphys resident was traveling eastbound on Hwy 4 at an unknown speed. According to the driver she had been up for nearly 24 hours straight and was very sleepy. She had left San Francisco around 1am to drive home because she had to be at work at 8am. She remembers driving through Vallecito, but after that she doesn't remember anything. As the Toyota passed Green Meadow Ct., she apparently went to sleep...
behind the wheel. Her care drifted to the right and went off the south roadway edge and ran head-on into a large oak tree.
She and her passenger were taken to Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries...
