Mr. Frog's Wild Ride Was Jumping All Over Calaveras County on Saturday!~by Patrick Works
Roads Throughout Calaveras County, CA....Feeney Park was jumping Saturday morning as over 150 riders from throughout California and beyond assembled to begin this year's annual fundraiser for the Feeney Park Foundation; Mr. Frog's Wild Ride. Riders choses between two courses: The 100k course lead all the way from Feeney Park, up French Gulch Road, down Murphys Grade to Angels Camp, over Highway 49 to a beautiful (and ....

challenging-hills-UGH!) course element through Glory Hole and back up the hill to Feeney Park via Highway 4. The shorter 50k course cut out the long ride over and back through Glory Hole for those riders who wanted a more leisurely morning.
Long weeks and months of planning, permit acquisition, organizing support staff, marking courses, and promoting the event met with great success as the day was beautiful, riders well cared for, and only an occasional mechanical mishap, with no injuries.
The pinetree.net rode along in the support vehicle to survey the route and capture the wonderful day for those of you who could not get out and ride yourselves.
Here's what you missed! Don't forget to sign up early next year. This event was wonderful!
