The Angels Camp Museum's New Artisan’s Exhibit's Grand Opening is Saturday, September 8, 2012
Angels Camp, CA...The Angels Camp Museum invites you to join us in the Mining and Ranching building on the museum campus for the Grand Opening of three new exhibits:
A fully-functional late 19th century carpenters shop
A fully functional turn-of-the-20th century print shop
A late 19th century textiles manufacturing area
Artisans will be on hand to demonstrate these trades and crafts. The new exhibits will allow the museum to demonstrate, on a regular basis, the crafts and trades that built Angels Camp and the surrounding region from the Gold Rush era through the 20th century. Interactive components of these exhibits will be made available to families as well as school groups for more in-depth understanding of these artisan skills....

The opening of the exhibits marks the beginning of a long-range plan to add new interactive and state-of-the-art exhibits to the Angels Camp Museum in order to transform it into the premier museum of Gold Country history in the state of California.
For questions please contact the Museum during regular museum hours (Thursday through Monday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM) at (209) 736-2963.
