Chauncey Delongpre, 44 from Stockton Lost His Life in Camp 9 Jeep Collision

Douglas Flat, CA...On April 22, 2018, at approximately 12:50 pm, Delongpre was driving a 1991 Jeep Cherokee eastbound on Camp 9 Road at an undetermined speed. For an unknown reason, Delongpre allowed the Jeep to travel off the north side of the roadway. The front of the Jeep collided with a large boulder and overturned onto the passenger side. Delongpre was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel. Both passengers sustained significant injuries and were flown to hospitals in the Modesto area for treatment.

Nashville, TN...The four persons murdered at the Waffle House, 3571 Murfreeesboro Pike, early Sunday morning have been positively identified: Taurean C. Sanderlin, 29, of Goodlettsville, an employee of the restaurant who was fatally wounded as he stood outside; Joe R. Perez, 20, of Nashville, a restaurant patron who was fatally wounded as he stood outside; Deebony Groves, 21, of Gallatin, who was fatally wounded inside the restaurant; Akilah Dasilva, 23, of Antioch, who was critically wounded inside the restaurant and later died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Two other persons were wounded by gunfire and are being treated at Vanderbilt. They are identified as: Shanita Waggoner, 21, of Nashville; & Sharita Henderson, 24, of Antioch.

Inmate Firefighter Dies at Sierra Conservation Center

Jamestown, CA...An inmate firefighter died Saturday, April 21, at Sierra Conservation Center (SCC). The cause of his death is unknown and foul play is not suspected. Anthony Colacino, 33, a newly assigned inmate firefighter, was participating in a training hike that began around 7 a.m. when he collapsed around 7:50 a.m. The fire captain on duty immediately called for emergency response and worked with the remaining inmate firefighters to transport Colacino to the SCC fire house. Inmate firefighters performed lifesaving measures on Colacino in the vehicle and at the fire house until an ambulance arrived and emergency responders took over.

Jamestown, CA...From the Tuolumne Sheriff's Dept..."The use of technology and assistance from a local casino security team, helps nab a car thief. On Friday afternoon we received a call from the Tracy Police Department in regards to a stolen 2018 Dodge Challenger Hellcat. The car had an electronic tracking device which showed it to be parked at the Chicken Ranch Casino parking lot in Jamestown.

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Sunday is here and so is the final day for skiing/riding for the 2017/18 Winter season! A bit cooler today projected yesterday so we'll see the high come in around 53F with variable winds up to 10mph. The Annual Slush Cup Race is today some make sure to sign up for that even t and race against your friends. It's been a great year despite the funky timing of snowfall but everyone had smiles across the miles and Pure Mtn Fun was had! Conditions are spring like and the groomers are awesome so, remember to ride safe, respect the Code and have a great time doing it. Jackson, CA...Amador FlyFishers (AFF) will be hosting a free Fly Fishing Faire Sunday, April 22, from 10am to 2pm at Detert Park, 530 Highway 49, Jackson, California. There will be booths with club members demonstrating the use of the tools of the sport and answering questions to help attendees learn more about the wonderful sport of flyfishing. There will also be hands-on activities. Most importantly, AFF will be highlighting its Youth Program which targets junior high and high school age kids and provides good hands-on flyfishing classes.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, chairman of the Central Military Commission, and head of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, made the instruction at a national conference on the work of cybersecurity and informatization held from Friday to Saturday.
An Excerpt..."Xi urged improving the governance capacity in cyberspace and developing a governing network led by the Party. Internet media should spread positive information, uphold the correct political direction, and guide public opinion and values towards the right direction. Internet service providers should take responsibility to prevent cyberspace from degrading into a platform full of harmful, false, and provocative information. Houston, TX...A former First Lady of the United States of America and relentless proponent of family literacy, Barbara Pierce Bush passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the age of 92. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, President George H. W. Bush; five children and their spouses; 17 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and her brother, Scott Pierce. She was preceded in death by her second child, Pauline Robinson “Robin” Bush, and her siblings Martha Rafferty and James R. Pierce.

Robin Burcell spent nearly three decades working in law enforcement as a police officer, hostage negotiator, criminal investigator and FBI Academy-trained forensic artist. Burcell currently co-writes with international best-selling author Clive Cussler on the Fargo series. Pirate, their first co-written book, was released in 2016. The Romanov Ransom, next in that series, will be out September 12, 2017.

Murphys, CA...Robert “Bob” White of Murphys, CA, passed away peacefully at home on April 16, 2018, after a short illness. He was a retired furniture salesman, having been employed by Breuner’s in San Carlos, CA for 21 years. Born in Seattle, WA, he was the son of Elizabeth McRae of Edinburgh, Scotland, and Michael White of London, England, who had met and married in Seattle. Bob was a talented musician, playing saxophone and clarinet with dance bands at the Trianon and other nightspots in Seattle in his youth. He joined the US Coast Guard towards the end of World War II and was stationed in San Francisco with the Coast Guard Band, greeting troop ships as they returned to the Bay.

John went to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ, on April 11, 2018 with his family by his side. He was born to the late Addison and Viola Steele, on June 28, 1936, in Liberty, New York. John graduated in 1955 from Watsonville High School. He worked most of his life as a Carpenter and Baker. He was also a Mason most of his adult life. He lived mostly in Aromas, Milpitas, and San Jose, then retired to Arnold, Ca.
San Andreas, CA...Our Mom, Catherine Mary West - 81, passed away at home of natural causes in the wee hours of January 24th of this year, 2018, while living at 339 Toyanza Drive in San Andreas, California 95249. San Andreas is a long way from Manhattan, New York, which is where Mom was born on the 22nd of December in 1936. Though she left high school to get married and start a family, she eventually earned her GED and went on to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. She always enjoyed the fellowship she found within the Roman Catholic Church and often served as a Eucharistic Minister, a Hospitality Coordinator, a Pre School Sunday School Teacher, or wherever there was a need.
