Bret Harte's Alex Milward's Senior Project is Obama Fundraiser on Sept. 22
Murphys, CA...(Update...Comments have been disabled as everyone has probably had their say on this topic. Welcome to the world of politics Mr. Milward) Alex Milward, Bret Harte student, decided he would organize a grassroots fundraiser on September 22 in Murphys for President Obama as his senior project. He started over the summer getting input from his mentor and others in the community to start coordinating all the various pieces required for such a huge enterprise. The event will include dinner, music, silent auction, and guest speaker, Jack Uppal, congressional candidate. “I didn’t realize everything that goes into an event like this. At times it’s been a little over whelming, but everything is coming together,” said Milward.
“The big challenge now,” continued Milward, “is getting the word out, selling tickets, getting donations, and recruiting volunteers.”
