CWA's Sold Out Passport Weekend Rolls On

Murphys, CA...The Calaveras County Winegrape Association's Passport Weekend rolls on. There is music, food and of course wine overflowing Main Street in Murphys and many of the wineries in the area. We were out and about and got a few shots Friday night and yesterday. Friday night started off with a reception in Murphys Community Park. Passport weekend was sold out even as it got underway. Yesterday we did hear that Chatom had a few passports stashed away for those who just had to participate...

Passport Weekend SOLD OUT!

Tickets are now sold out for Passport Weekend 2013, held June 21-23, 2013.

Passport Weekend in MurphysThe 17th annual Passport “Wine” Weekend sponsored by the Calaveras Winegrape Alliance (CWA) will take place June 21 to 23, 2013.

Please join our 22 member wineries/ tasting rooms located throughout Calaveras County for a special weekend of gourmet foods, entertainment, special winery discounts and of course award winning Calaveras wines!

Participants are issued a commemorative glass and “Passport” that is stamped at each of the wineries visited on Saturday and Sunday, and if completed, entered in drawings for some outstanding prizes.

All participants must be 21 years or older, designated drivers passes are $15 for the weekend. All participating wineries encourage designated drivers and will provide non-alcoholic beverages in addition to any food they are serving. The unique event offers an ideal way for new area visitors to become familiar with Calaveras County wineries as each winery showcases their unique personalities and award winning wines.

The price of the 2-day passport, including admission to the Friday night event, is $60.00, and Sunday only is $30.00. Our Friday night event, “Taste the World of Calaveras” kicks off the event and will be held in Murphys Park. The cost of Friday night, only, is $30.00. For more information, please call 866.806.9463.
