Arnold, CA...What is Hyperloop? Tesla and SpaceX's Elon Musk has unveiled an open spec and plans for a high speed transport system. Think of it as an air hockey puck large enough to hold people or even vehicles. Instead of a table it would ride on air in a tube. And the projected cost to move you from San Francisco to Los Angeles in 35 minutes would be a staggering...$20....

Having read some of the plans for the project is actually seems a much better solution than the proposed high speed rail system. Another bonus is since it could be constructed in a modular and elevated fashion the impediments to construction seem to easily overcome.
If all this sounds like pure fantasy read plans linked to below. After all it's not like putting something in space or anything...oh wait, one of his companies is already doing that.
