The Sender Family Makes A Grand Entrance Into Valley Springs

Valley Springs & Mountain Ranch, CA...A great local business expansion story is now officially underway with the "Chain Cutting" and Grand Opening of the Sender's Markets Valley Springs location and home center. There were speeches, and ceremony that highlighted the fact that for generations the Sender Family has been serving the county and employing local residents. In addition to great products at fair prices Sender's also has huge economic benefit for our area. Alan Sender told us that with the Original Sender's Market in Mountain Ranch, Truss Company and now the Valley Springs location they now employ 75 people. So when you patronize these businesses return a much larger portion of your purchase to our local economy than anything spent at a large chain store...

It has also been said that the best defense is a good offense and with the opening of a large well stocked home center in Valley Springs it makes it less likely that a big box chain would see Valley Springs as a profitable expansion area.

I have to admit I love small town hardware and grocery stores. They were the “Social Media” networks of previous generations and part and parcel of the daily life for generations. If you have not visited their Mountain Ranch location it is in many ways like stepping into a time machine where you wouldn't be surprised to a young Norman Rockwell bagging your groceries.

They were where people went to get the things that allowed them to house and feed their families. You made purchases from people who lived on your street, sat in a church pew next you and you argued with at a school board meeting.

Sometimes in the speed of our day to day lives it is nice to see examples of the small town, multi-generational businesses surviving and thriving in today's competitive economic environment.

Thank you Sender Family for investing in the next generation of local business and providing great products and jobs in our area...
