This 22 minute award winning drama, focuses on John’s, (played by Gross), late stage Alzheimer’s and the secret he reveals in a moment of clarity to his son Jared,( played by Worth). In a moment of clarity, a lifetime of lies is exposed, helping to explain the abusive, racist, and angry man that his family came to know in their early years together. Supreme Court Reaffirms Free Speech Rights In Facebook Comment Case

Posted by: thepinetree on 06/01/2015 09:38 AM
Washington, DC...The US Supreme Court Today reaffirmed free speech rights when it overturned a conviction of a man convicted when he made online rants against his ex-wife. From the syllabus "After his wife left him, petitioner Anthony Douglas Elonis, under the pseudonym “Tone Dougie,” used the social networking Web site Facebook to post self-styled rap lyrics containing graphically violent language and imagery concerning his wife, co-workers, a kindergarten class, and state and federal law enforcement. These posts were often interspersed with disclaimers that the lyrics were “fictitious”and not intended to depict real persons, and with statements that Elonis was exercising his First Amendment rights. Many who knew him saw his posts as threatening, however, including his boss, who fired him for threatening co-workers, and his wife, who sought and was granted a state court protection-from-abuse order against him...

Grover Anderson Oct. 23, 1933 – May 21, 2015

Posted by: thepinetree on 05/29/2015 12:52 PM
Murphys, CA...Grover Anderson Oct. 23, 1933 – May 21, 2015. Born in Ceres, CA, the fourth and last child of James G. and Hattie Anderson, Grover died peacefully at home with his family in Murphys. In 1947, Grover’s father and eldest brother Leonard purchased the Dorrington Hotel and Camp Connell store and surrounding property. Grover was enrolled at Bret Harte High – a musically gifted student who also excelled academically and athletically. He loved playing football as a Bullfrog. He was a member of the Angels Camp Miners Band and is sweetly remembered picking up his clarinet or trumpet and playing along with music from the stereo at home. Once, when entreated by his wife to be quiet because their firstborn, Jack, was sleeping, he replied “he’d better get used to it!” We all did, and when he could no longer hold the instrument to his lips, we missed the perfectly pitched melodies that gave us an idea of the soul inside the man.
