Lawn Mower Round-Up Lawn Mower Replacement Program

San Andreas, CA...Did you know that using a typical gas mower for one year can pollute as much as a car driven for 22,000 miles??? The Calaveras Air Pollution Control District (APCD) has initiated a grant program designed to assist the public in the replacement of existing gasoline or diesel-powered lawn mowers with cordless, zero-emission, electric lawn mowers. The APCD is offering a $145 rebate to any Calaveras County resident that replaces their current gasoline or diesel powered lawn mower with a zero-emission, cordless lawn mower....

To qualify:

You must live in Calaveras County;
Own and operate a diesel or gasoline-powered lawn mower;
Purchase a new, cordless, zero-emission lawn mower;
Surrender the old fully-functional lawn mower for permanent destruction;
Agree to keep the new lawn mower for the next 36 months (3 years).

For additional information you may contact the District at (209) 754-6601 or visit our office at 891 Mountain Ranch Road in San Andreas. You may also view additional information online at:
