Sec State John Kerry Condemns DPRK Missile Launch

Posted by: thepinetree on 02/06/2016 10:16 PM
Washington, DC...The United States strongly condemns today’s missile launch by the D.P.R.K. -- a flagrant violation of UN Security Council Resolutions related to the D.P.R.K. use of ballistic missile technology. This is the second time in just over a month that the D.P.R.K. has chosen to conduct a major provocation, threatening not only the security of the Korean peninsula, but that of the region and the United States as well. We reaffirm our ironclad commitment to the defense of our allies, including the Republic of Korea and Japan. We will continue to work with our partners and members of the UN Security Council on significant measures to hold the D.P.R.K. to account.

Over the last seven years, we’ve made historic investments in clean energy that helped private sector companies create tens of thousands of good jobs. And today, clean power from the wind or the sun is actually cheaper in many communities than dirtier, conventional power. It’s helped grow our economy and cut our total carbon pollution more than any other country on earth.

Dave Christian Medical Fund

Posted by: thepinetree on 02/03/2016 11:08 AM
Arnold, CA...After 5 years of migraines and some increasingly alarming symptoms, Friday morning, January 29th, Annalisa took Dave to the ER because he appeared to be exhibiting symptoms of a stroke. They performed a CT scan and discovered a large tumor in the front left lobe of his brain. He was transported by ambulance to UCSF. Wednesday, February 3rd, they will do surgery to remove the 7cm mass that appears to be a benign meningioma. Although that's not the worst type of brain tumor you can have, it's much larger than ones they typically remove. They won't be certain of the tumor's type until the full pathology report comes back, 5-7 days after surgery.
