Major Injuries To Valley Springs Man When His Suzuki GSX Goes Down On Hwy 26

Valley Springs, CA...A 56 year ols Valley Springs man was riding his 2001 Suzuki GSX behind a slower moving vehicle. As they reached a passing area, he began to pass the vehicle. However he did not allow for sufficient passing room and to avoid an approaching vehicle he veered to the left & running off the north roadway edge.

He lost control once reaching the north shoulder and both he and the GSX impacted the ground. He sustained major injuries and was taken to Mark Twain Medical Center for treatment.

Alcohol or drugs were not a factor in the collision
