The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce is recruiting participants for the upcoming Leadership Calaveras 2008 Program

The Leadership program is an interactive learning program bringing people from throughout Calaveras County together to develop leadership qualities, and to identify and explore local issues and needs....

Those participating in the program represent many vocations pursuing different goals. The class will work to; 1) familiarize themselves with community resources, needs, issues and to explore solutions and alternatives, 2) to challenge themselves as community leaders, and 3) to meet and exchange thoughts and ideas with current community leaders.

Each month, the Leadership participants will focus on a particular topic. While each session stands independently on its own merit, through discussion, class participants will become aware of the interdependence of each aspect and its effects on the entire county, to involve industry, private enterprise, agriculture, tourism, health, social services, law enforcement, natural resources and recreation.

The class will begin on Wednesday, March 5th, 2008 and will meet each 1st Wednesday of the month. The class meets in different locations each month and often will travel throughout the day to meet and view various businesses and meet leaders.
