You Can See the Angels Camp Bypass...and John Too! Video enclosed

Angels Camp, CA...The path of the new Angels Camp Bypass is now clearly visible along most portions of the route. Heavy equipment has been moving trees and debris, crews have been setting fences, temporary construction sheds and offices are coming to life....

The long awaited bypass is now under way. Construction of the bridges will commence first to be followed by the road-base. We will post periodic updates on their progress.

The Multi-Year $30,000,000 project is expected to ease traffic flow up and down the Hwy 4 Corridor and help prevent Angels Camp from becoming gridlocked as population and traffic increase.

In the short term traffic flow through downtown will be lessoned and allow the Historic section to become more pedestrian friendly. Over the long term North South Hwy 49 traffic is expected to return traffic volumes to prebypass levels.

This update clip was shot from the Hwy 4 side looking Northwest back towards Angels.
