Secretary of State Pompeo on Pressure Campaign On Iran & Terrorist Attacks in Sri Lanka

Posted by: thepinetree on 04/22/2019 10:54 PM
Washington, DC...Good morning, everyone. Before I make my announcement regarding our pressure campaign against the Islamic Republic of Iran, I want to address yesterday’s terrorist attack in Sri Lanka. What was supposed to be a joyful Easter Sunday was marred by a horrific wave of Islamic radical terror bloodshed. It’s heartbreaking that a country which has strived so hard for peace in recent years has been targeted by these terrorists. We mourn the loved ones of the victims, some of whom, we can confirm, were indeed U.S. citizens. This is America’s fight too. I spoke with the prime minister of Sri Lanka this morning. And our embassy and other parts of the U.S. Government are offering all possible assistance to Americans and the Sri Lankan Government alike. We urge that any evildoers be brought to justice expeditiously, and America is prepared to support that.

It was a great season with almost 500 inches of snow that will feed our streams and lakes and make this summer a great one. Now the race is on to get the passes open as soon as possible for the summer. Below is a bit of video from just after closing time yesterday. After stopping at Bear Valley we headed to the closure point on Hwy 4.

California Carnival to Play the Calaveras County Fair!

Posted by: thepinetree on 04/22/2019 11:21 AM
Angels Camp, CA...(Frogtown, USA)...The biggest difference between California Carnival Co. and our competitors is attention to detail. Since inception in 1981 it has been our goal to provide local communities with not just the excitement that naturally comes when the carnival arrives in town, but to provide a total entertainment venue focused on family and community. At the change of the millennium, after a five year study, California Carnival Co. implemented our "Focus on the Family" philosophy. Our study became our guide to building a safe, inexpensive entertainment venue that has successfully put fun back in the family.

State Dept on Terrorist Attacks in Sri Lanka

Posted by: thepinetree on 04/22/2019 06:50 AM
Washington, DC...The United States condemns in the strongest terms the terror attacks in Sri Lanka on Easter morning. Attacks on innocent people gathering in a place of worship or enjoying a holiday meal are affronts to the universal values and freedoms that we hold dear, and demonstrate yet again the brutal nature of radical terrorists whose sole aim is to threaten peace and security.
