West Point, CA....We received the official fire report from CAL fire for the small 5' x 5' vegetation fire that occurred at Wilson Reservoir in West Point on Sunday. Cause is undetermined. We had heard initial reports of an escaped camp fire. No dollar damage reported. Fire report enclosed.....

CHP is reporting a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision with emergency personnel responding at 9267 Hwy 26. We are unsure if there are any injuries. We will let you know further details as we know. CHP release enclosed.....

We have reports of a small fire in the West Point area caused by a small camp fire. It has not spread and fire crews have it contained. |

Sonora, CA..…Fire Safe Council President Jerry Tannhauser today announced the Highway 108 FireSafe Council is inviting residents and homeowners in the Tuolumne area to meet and discuss fire protection, emergency preparedness, and fire prevention measures needed to protect life, property, and resources from wildland fires. The subject area consists of public, Me-Wuk tribal, and private land accessed by Tuolumne Road North.......

We just spoke with CHP and they are arriving on scene now to a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision at High School Road and Hwy 49. Emergency personnel is on scene. We are unsure of injuries at this time but will keep you posted as soon as we know more. Ambulance is blocking lane so please us caution in area. (Update)Emergency personnel are still blocking lane and are still unsure if there are any injuries. (Update) We just spoke with Officer Castillo of CHP, it was a female motorcyclist vs. vehicle not a pedestrian. Initial reports from CHP were vehicle vs. pedestrian. The motorcyclist has been taken by ambulance to Mark Twain St. Josephs Hospital for non life-threatening injuries. She will not be medi-flighted out. The CHP Release is enclosed...

Mountain Ranch, CA....We have had several inquiries about this bus vs. vehicle collision that occurred yesterday in Mountain Ranch. We did not want to make more of the story than it was due to it being a bus full of kids until we received the official CHP release. We also felt bad for the bus driver who was from out of town and obviously did not know the area. There were no injuries involved as it was a minor bump to the vehicle in back of him. Fire Report in for Grass Fire in Burson Yesterday |

Burson, CA...CAL Fire is stating a Ford Model 11185 Harvester in motion was the cause of a 5 acre grass fire on May 28th at 3541 Burson Road. Damages are estimated at $1000. No injuries are reported. Fire report enclosed....

Murphys, CA....The members of the Murphys, Columbia, San Andreas, and Sonora Fire Departments are pleased to announce the Gold Country Firemen’s Muster scheduled for June 21st and 22nd, 2008 in beautiful downtown Murphys California. This California Firemen’s Muster Association sanctioned muster will bring equipment from across the state for a weekend of old time firemen and family fun. 2008 also marks the 150th anniversary for the San Andreas Fire Department. Events planned include antique fire engine competitions....

CHP is reporting a possible brush fire in the Hwy 12/Burson Road area and has transferred the call to CAL Fire. CAL Fire is getting ready to respond now. Will keep you posted as we know more detailed info....(Update) They have called in a spotter and equipment is arriving on scene now according to Lisa Williams with CAL Fire. So far it is 2-3 acres in size with a slow spread. They are not backing off crews as of yet as it could grow unexpectedly. We will continue to keep you posted if needed....(Update #2)Fire has been contained at 3 acres according to Dennis at CAL Fire. Aircraft has been released. Thank Goodness!
