West Point CA...Monday evening (5-26-08) Sheriffs Deputies observed a minor traffic violation and attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 1995 Chevy pick up near the intersection of Main St. and Hwy 26 in West Point. The driver, Steven Herman (38) of West Point failed to pull over and led deputies on 6 mile chase that reached speeds of up to 70 miles per hour. The pursuit ended in the drive way of Herman' s residence on Hwy 26 in West Point....

Moderate Injury Vehicle Collision in Copperopolis on Saturday Eve |

Copperopolis, CA.....CHP reported a minor injury collision of a 19 year old female on Saturday May 24th at 11:45pm at Black Creek Drive south of Feather Drive. While driving the roadway was wet and when negotiating a turn her tires lost traction on the wet roadway and spun out. Her vehicle eventually traveled down an embankment rolling over then through a fence, coming to a stop on it's left side. One male passenger was transported via air ambulance to a valley trauma center with moderate injuries. The driver and one passenger were sent to a local hospital via ambulance with moderate injuries. Two other male passengers suffered minor injuries. All of the occupants had their seat belts on which prevented serious injuries. See full CHP report enclosed....

Lightning Cause of Small Grass Fire in Tuolumne City |

Tuolumne City, CA...CAL Fire is stating lighting is the cause of a 1.2 acre grass fire on May 23rd at O'Byrnes Ferry Road. No injuries reported. No dollar damages reported. 1.2 acres of grass was burned. Full CAL Fire report enclosed....

TRAFFIC NEWS...Injury MVA in Poker Flat Subdivsion |

Poker Flat, CA....CHP is reporting a MVA in the Poker Flat area. Initial reports are that a vehicle may be on top of someone. Jaws of Life have been called and Emergency Personnel are on scene now. We will keep you posted as we know more....(Update #1) Medi-Flight has landed at Copper Fire and is waiting for patient. (Uodate #2) Medi-Flight has taken off with a male patient. (Update #3) John just spoke with Emergency Personnel and apparently the vehicle went 100 feet off of an embankment and overturned. Subject was pinned under the vehicle. The patient was responsive and talking to emergency personnel and is being transported to Doctors Hospital of Modesto....

CHP is reporting another vehicle collision at Hwy 26 just east of Hwy 12. Emergency personnel in route. Vehicle rolled on side. Subject is out of vehicle. We will keep you posted as we know more. (Update #1) Minor Injury. .

We have received an updated fire report from CAL Fire on the Rancho Calaveras Fire that occurred on May 21st, 2008. It looks like the cause was smoking material which was found at the origin of the fire. Please see enclosed.....

Groveland, CA....CAL Fire has sent us an updated fire report on the fire that occurred on May 21st at 19611 Elder Lane in Groveland. It appears the cause of the fire was a child playing with matches. Fire report is enclosed.....

Official CAL Fire Report in For Knights Ferry Fire which Burned 175 Acres |

Knights Ferry, CA....CAL Fire has sent us the official fire report on the Knights Ferry fire that occurred yesterday afternoon at 16300 Frymire Road. One local government firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation. The cause was a tree feel into an electrical service drop sparking a vegetation fire. The fire burned 175 acres, one home, two mobile homes, one 18 wheeler big-rig trailer, one out building and four vehicles. It is unknown as to whether the residences were being lived in. The structures and vehicles are a total loss. Dollar estimate not available at this time. The fire was contained early this morning and complete control is expected by 6pm this evening. Resources are still on scene today. See full fire report enclosed.....

Lawnmower in Use Causes Small Vegetation Fire in Rancho Calaveras |

Rancho Calaveras, CA....A Riding lawnmower that was in use backfired sparking a fire that burned 1/2 acre of grass on Thursday at 7744 Westhill Road in Rancho Calaveras. One structure was threatened but not damaged. Estimated damages are $1000. No injuries reported. Full fire report enclosed..... |
