San Andreas, CA....Each year illegal and misused fireworks cause serious injuries and damaging wildfires. The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is taking a zero tolerance stand against anyone possessing, transporting or using illegal fireworks. The penalties for possessing, transporting or using illegal fire works ranges from a misdemeanor up to felony charges plus the cost incurred for fire suppression which can exceed $5 million......

CAL Fire Reported Two Small Vegetation Fires on Monday in Calaveras County |

Calaveras County, CA...CAL Fire reported two small grass fires on Monday in Calaveras County. The first was caused by a cigarette that burned a small amount of grass at 230 Mineral Street in Copperopolis. No injuries reported. The second was two large escaped debris burns at 2474 Monetier Drive in Arnold. A small spot of timber vegetation was burned. CAL Fire reports are enclosed....

Three Small Vegetation Fired Reported by CAL Fire Over the Weekend |

Calaveras County, CA....CAL Fire reported three small vegetation fires over the weekend. An escaped debris burn on June 19th at 6650 Railroad Flat Road in Mountain Ranch. Another was a one acre of grass vegetation burned at 1653 Hwy 26 in La Contenta. Cause is under investigation. The third was on June 21st at 33 Stanley Road in Wilseyville. It involved a riding lawn mower that burned multiple spots of vegetation. CAL Fire reports are enclosed.....

CHP is reporting a grass Fire at Hwy 26 and St. Andrews Road in Valley Springs. As of 2:10pm roadway is closed at Vista Del Lago and Mangilli...Updates to come...Just spoke with Captain Archer of CAL Fire, the fire is contained at 1 acre, roadway remains closed. Updates to come as when will be re-opened. Update as of 2:25pm, Roadway open in both directions.

Small Vegetation Fire Reported in Farmington Yesterday |

CAL Fire is reporting a small vegetation fire at 17480 26 Mile Road in Farmington yesterday around 3:20pm. Cause was a plasma cutter being use to cut pipe while working on a fence. No injuries. Approximately $1,200.00 in damages were reported. CAL Fir report enclosed.... |

Cal Fire reported two fires over the weekend. One in Tuolumne County and one in Stanislaus County. One was an escaped debris burn and the other involved a stolen vehicle that was set on fire. The fire reports are enclosed....

Update on Tulare County Lightning Fires.....60% Contained |

Tulare County, CA....The Tulare Lightning Fires are totaling 400+ acres and are now 60% contained. The Tulare Unit Lightning Complex has been broken up into 2 complexes, the North Complex and the South Complex. The North Complex consists of 3 fires, 2 acres each in size. Two are located within a few hundred yards of each other approximately 6 miles east of the community of Lindsay in the Round Valley area. The third fire (Boyd Incident) is located approximately 10 miles north of the community of Woodlake and 2 miles east of State Highway 245 on Blue Mountain. All resource have been released.....

Update on Tulare County Fires....30% Contained So Far |

Tulare County, CA....Eleven fires caused by a series of lightning started yesterday around 7pm. The area where the fires are burning is Porterville in the Fountain Springs area in Tulare County. There are currently 300+ acres burned and numerous down strikes in area. There is some precipitation with wind gusts up to 60 mph. Resources on hand....

The Stanislaus National Forest will Be Implementing a 90 Acre Prescribed Burn in Femmons Meadow Area on May 25th |

Contingent on favorable weather and fuel conditions, the Stanislaus NF's Groveland Ranger District will be implementing a 90 acre prescribed burn in the Femmons Meadow area, located approximately 8 miles northeast of the Community of Buck Meadows, beginning on approximately May 25, 2009, and lasting for several days. Smoke will be visible from Highway 120 and drift smoke will be present in the early morning and evening hours.....

Jamestown, CA.......CAL Fire reported a Class C Motor Home fire is under investigation that occurred on Monday at 19130 Rawhide Road in Jamestown. There were no injuries. Total damage estimate is $5,000. CAL Fire report enclosed.....
