Angels Camp, CA...A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure to catch one of the last concerts performed (Outside) before they started their journey to get back home to Uganda. Their's is a heartwarming COVID-19 story. The normal plan for the Amani Choir is for them to come over to the U.S. every other year for a series of concerts as outreach and to support their ministry in Uganda.

San Andreas, CA...On Monday May 25, 2020, Governor Gavin Newsom issued guidance to places of worship and providers of religious services and cultural ceremonies on how they can safely reopen during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. While the guidance itself does not obligate places of worship to resume in-person services, it is strongly recommended that they continue remote services and other related activities for groups who are most at risk for sever COVID-19 illness.
Counties Statewide Can Reopen Places of Worship for Religious Services and Retail Stores

Sacramento, CA...The California Department of Public Health today announced the statewide reopening of places of worship for religious services and in-store retail shopping. Modifications are required to keep Californians safe and limit the spread of COVID-19. Subject to approval by county public health departments, all retail stores can reopen for in-store shopping under previously issued guidelines. Under new guidance, places of worship can hold religious services and funerals that limit attendance to 25% of a building's capacity – or up to 100 attendees, whichever is lower – upon approval by the county department of public health.

United Methodist Church Proposes Conscious Uncoupling Into Traditional & LGBTQ Friendly Denominations

Nashville, TN...A diverse, 16-member group of United Methodist bishops and other leaders has offered a proposal that would preserve The United Methodist Church while allowing traditionalist-minded congregations to form a new denomination. The separating group would get $25 million in United Methodist funds and would keep its local church properties.
