Jenny Lind, CA....Units are responding to a confirmed working structure fire at 3586 Hartvicksen Lane in Jenny Lind. The fire is in the attic. Units are facing strong winds at this time. Updates to come as needed. |

Overnight Fire Complete Destroys Columbia Area Home |

Sonora, CA...An overnight fire on Jenny Lind Rd. in the Big Hill area of Tuolumne County completely destroyed a home and displaced a local family. When we spoke with Captain Murphy from CAL-Fire he said that a Mother, Father, their children and also a guest were displaced. The family escaped injuries but the house, garage, household contents and two cars in the garage were a total loss. The combined loss was estimated at over $250,000. One local firefighter sustained an injured ankle fighting the blaze...

Front Wheel of Logging Truck Came Off Which Sparked a Small Spot Fire on Thursday |

CAL Fire is stating the cause of a small roadside spot fire that occurred on Thursday October 16th, at 4140 Hwy 49 and 4400 Fricot City Road, was due to Right Front Wheel of a 1988 Kenworth Logging Truck coming off and sparked. No dollar damage or injuries reported. Full CAL Fire report is enclosed....

$20,000 in Damages Reported on Vehicle Fire That Occurred on Thursday on Hunt Road |

CAL Fire states that there were $20,000 in damages involving a vehicle fire to a 1999 Suburban at 12173 Hunt Road at Milton on Thursday. Cause is undetermined and there were no injuries reported. Full CAL Fire report enclosed....

FIRE NEWS......A Possible Structure Fire is Being Reported at 6340 Burcham Lane in Jenny Lind......Extinguished Kitchen Fire |

Jenny Lind, CA....A possible structure fire is being reported at 6340 Burcham Lane in across from Fabulous Road in Jenny Lind. Units are responding to the possible structure fire now. UPDATE #1 (8:28am) Units on scene have stated a two story single family home dwelling. The fire is possibly in the walls of the kitchen. White smoke can be seen coming through a vent in the home. UPDATE #2 (8:32am) The fire seems to be a kitchen fire that has been extinguished. Units are checking for extension. UPDATE #3 (8:42am) Additional units who were responding to the fire are cancelled. The fire has been contained with no further spread to the home. Great Job Firefighters.

Copperoplois, CA....A chimney fire is being reported at 3898 Stagecoach Drive in Copperoplis. Units from Copper and Altaville are responding to the scene. No further information at this time. UPDATE #1 (7:11pm) Copperopolis and Cal Fire units are on scene stating a single family, two story home. Units are not seeing smoke or fire on scene. UPDATE #2 (7:14pm) The fire has been confined to the chimney, additional units have been cancelled. Updates to come if needed.

Firefighter Suffers Minor Injury at the Structure Fire That Occurred on Thursday |

Columbia, CA...We have received the official CAL Fire report on the Columbia structure fire which is being officially caused by Arson. The fire occurred at 22265 Parrots Ferry Road in Columbia and caused $40,000 in damages to the structure along with $15,000 in damages to its contents. A firefighter also suffered a laceration to the head and was taken to Sonora Regional with minor injuries. The CAL Fire report is enclosed.....

Fire Restrictions Lifted in High and Moderate Hazard Areas |

Sonora, CA…The Forest Service today announced that due to shorter days, cooler weather, and higher humidity, fire restrictions in effect by Forest Order since June 25 are now lifted within the High Hazard and Moderate Hazard Areas of the Stanislaus National Forest (NF). Visitors may now use wood, charcoal, or gas fires or stoves outside of developed campgrounds as long as they possess a valid California Campfire Permit and follow the permit regulations.....
