Glenn Hodson Devoted Family Man Passes Away at 78 |

Mountain Ranch, CA...Glenn Hodson Devoted family man. Glenn Hodson died Jan. 20, 2018 in Sacramento, CA. after years of heart problems. He was 78 years old. He was born June 10, 1939 in Fresno, CA. to Marjorie and Glen Hodson. Glenn served in the U.S. Navy as a Radarman on the U.S.S. Oriskany from 1957 to 1961. He then served 2 more years in the Navy Reserves from 1961 to 1963. When Glenn got out of the service he moved to Sacramento where he met his wife, Cecilia (Patty) Delaney. He was a truck driver there for many years before moving to Mountain Ranch.

Angels Camp, CA...Roman Kenneth Franklin entered into rest Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the age of 48. Roman was born in Hayward, California on December 18, 1969. He grew up, with his family, in Angels Camp where he attended Mark Twain Elementary School and Bret Harte High School. Roman was active in his community. He participated in Angeles Ranus 4-H, wrestling, football, and Bret Harte FFA. He was an avid member of Saint Patrick's church of Angels Camp where he was an alter boy.

Update...20 Year Old Turlock Resident Zachery Russell Moore Lost His Life in Hwy 108 Head On Collision |

Oakdale, CA...Notification to next of kin has been made by the Stanislaus County Sheriff-coroner. The deceased 20 year old Turlock resident from the fatality on January 18 that occurred on State Route 108 west of Kennedy Road was identified as Zachery Russell Moore. As released earlier...On January 18, 2018 at approximately 8:30 am, a 20 year old male Turlock resident was driving a 2001 Infinity sedan westbound on State Route 108, west of Kennedy Road, approaching a right bend in the roadway, in heavy fog, at an unknown speed. At this time, 30 year old Patterson resident, Christian Prado, was driving a 2015 Dodge flatbed eastbound on State Route 108, approaching the Infinity. For unknown reasons at this time, the Infinity crossed over the double yellow lines into the eastbound traffic lane, directly into the path of the Dodge. Subsequently, the vehicles collided head-on. The driver of the Infinity was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Prado was transported via ambulance to Oak Valley Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

20 Year Old Turlock Resident Loses Life in Hwy 108 Head On Collision |

Oakdale, CA...On January 18, 2018 at approximately 8:30 am, a 20 year old male Turlock resident was driving a 2001 Infinity sedan westbound on State Route 108, west of Kennedy Road, approaching a right bend in the roadway, in heavy fog, at an unknown speed. Angels Camp, CA...Celebration of Life Edward Harrison Stokes of Angels Camp. July 20, 1941 to January 11, 2018 Ed Stokes, 76, died January 11, 2018 at his home in Angels Camp. Ed was born July 20, 1941 in Whittier, California to John and Ethel “Elizabeth” Stokes. He graduated from Livermore High School in 1959 and married his high school sweetheart, Linda Beckham, shortly after high school and moved to the Sonora area. In 1969, they moved their family to Angels Camp. Early in his career he worked several trades and in the lates 70’s ventured into his own business, Heat Control Co (a heating and air conditioning company), which he owned and operated for 40 years.

Arnold, CA...Ronald (Ron) Ruisi, 64, of Arnold California passed away peacefully at his home on January 9, 2018. He was born October 22, 1953 in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Queens, New York by Victor and Millie Ruisi. In 1971, at age 18, Ron joined the United States Navy where he served in Vietnam, Japan, Hong Kong and the Philippines. While stationed in Alameda California, he met and fell in love with his wife of 43 years, Tami Ruisi in Hayward California. After they were married, the couple moved to New York where they lived for three and a half years. Following their time in New York, they moved back to Tami's home town of Arnold California, where he quickly adjusted to mountain life and lived for 39 years.

37 Year Old Woman & 11 Year Old Girl Perish in Early Morning Traffic Collision On Hwy 88 |

Pioneer, CA...CHP has released details on this morning's tragic collision that took the life of a 37 Year Old Woman & 11 Year Old Girl both from Pioneer. At approximately 6am this morning a 1998 Saturn Coupe was traveling westbound on Hwy 88 east of Dew Drop Road. A 2011 Toyota 4Runner was traveling eastbound on Hwy 88 east of Dew Drop approaching the Saturn. For an unknown reason the Saturn crossed over the double yellow lines and proceeded over two eastbound traffic lanes and off onto the south dirt shoulder of Hwy 88. The Toyota 4Runner being driven by 56 year old Pioneer man was traveling on his way to work in Kirkwood.

White Pines, CA...Fae Janet Gibson 1937-2017. “When people die, they cannot be replaced. Our beloved mother, Fae Janet (Grove Dutton Frenette) Gibson, passed away at her home in Hayward, California, on January 21st 2017. She was 79. She was surrounded by her loving children and their spouses, as well as hospice volunteers and dedicated caregivers.

Mountain Ranch, CA...Ralph Armand Hopkins Sr. 74 of Mountain Ranch, CA, passed away January 3, 2018 at his home. Ralph was born in Cabot, VT on May 18, 1943, a son of the late Leota and Curtis G. Hopkins. He is survived by one Brother, Douglas Neveau, his son Paul Alan Hopkins, Sr. of Killeen TX; son Ralph Armand Hopkins, Jr. of Valley Springs, CA; daughter Deborah Lynn Baumbach of Stockton, CA; daughter Patricia Anna Hopkins of Mountain Ranch, CA; He is also survived by 31 Grandchildren; 40 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

Survived by his wife of 59 years Connie Lantry, his daughter Kassie Perkins of Antioch, CA., his granddaughter Cassandra Perkins of Roseville, CA. Preceded in death in 2015 by his son Michael W Lantry of Concord, CA.
