Counterfeit Viagra Sales by Cell Phone Retailer Deceives Unsuspecting Customers |

Sacramento, CA...An investigation by the California Department of Justice’ Bureau of Investigation’s Tax Recovery and Criminal Enforcement (TRaCE) task force led to the arrest and conviction of Maykiya Mayze (Mayze), 37, of Sacramento for not only possessing and selling counterfeit Viagra but for selling an unregulated and potentially life-threatening product. The investigation by TRaCE revealed that Mayze sold counterfeit Viagra for years out of his cell phone business in Sacramento. Unsuspecting buyers lived with unknown or harmful results, while Mayze pocketed $25 per pill, duping hopeful customers and cheating legitimate pharmaceutical manufacturers.

San Andreas, CA...Each year illegal and misused fireworks cause serious injuries and damaging wildfires. The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is taking a zero tolerance stand against anyone possessing, transporting or using illegal fireworks. The penalties for possessing, transporting or using illegal fireworks ranges from a misdemeanor up to felony charges plus the cost incurred for fire suppression.

Extreme temperatures are likely, so we encourage you to be prepared for summer heat. These unseasonably hot temperatures increase the risk of fire as the ground begins to dry. Extreme temperatures can also lead to thunderstorms and lightning, which can ignite trees on the forest.

Ohio Man Arrested for Attempting to Assist a Foreign Terrorist Organization With Homeland Attack Plot |

Cleveland, OH...Demetrius Nathaniel Pitts, aka Abdur Raheem Rafeeq, aka Salah ad-Deen Osama Waleed, 48, of Maple Heights, Ohio, was charged with one count of attempting to provide material support to al Qaeda, a designated foreign terrorist organization. Pitts was arrested Sunday by members of the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force. The arrest and charges were announced by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, FBI Director Christopher Wray, Assistant Attorney General for National Security John C. Demers, U.S. Attorney Justin E. Herdman for the Northern District of Ohio, and Special Agent in Charge Stephen D. Anthony of the FBI’s Cleveland Division.

Sonora, CA...From the Tuolumne Sheriff's Dept..."Early this morning, a Sheriff’s Deputy patrolling the area of AM/PM on Mono Way in Sonora, saw a Silver Honda CR-V parked at one of the gas pumps with a man asleep behind the wheel. The deputy approached the vehicle to check on the man who was identified as 46-year-old Johnny Ruhga of Jamestown. Ruhga woke when the deputy knocked on the driver door of the CR-V. As the deputy was speaking with Ruhga, he saw a digital scale with a large amount of heroin residue located on the floorboard of the vehicle.

Sacramento, CA...A mid-week Independence Day holiday may result in less travel, but the California Highway Patrol (CHP) will still be working to keep the roadways safe during its Maximum Enforcement Period (MEP). The CHP’s MEP will begin at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, and conclude at midnight on Wednesday, July 4. Officers will be on the lookout for drivers who are impaired by alcohol or drugs.

Old Mine has Explosive History. |

Sonora, CA...From the Tuolumne Sheriff's Dept....This afternoon it was reported to our office that 6 sticks of dynamite were discovered in an old mining claim at the very end of Jack Page Rd. The dynamite was spongy and it is unclear how long the dynamite had been in the mine.
