Murphys, CA....Bob was born on March 31, 1927 to Peter and Anna Koopmann on Pleasanton Avenue, Pleasanton. He graduated from Amador High School in 1945. From 1945-1947 he was in the U.S. Army where he served in Berlin, Germany as a Military Policeman. When he returned, he married his beloved wife Elaine Secada in the Methodist Church in Reno, NV. They recently celebrated their 64th anniversary.....

Murphys, CA....Eddward Mateo, 89, passed away in Murphys, California on Monday, April 25th. He was born to the late Joseph and Carmen Mateo, February 19, 1922, at their home in San Leandro, California. As a youth, Ed performed as a Flamenco dancer at various Spanish clubs throughout the Bay Area and along the coast with his sister and other family members. .....

Residents of Murphys waited quite a while to be given an opportunity to help plan the future and improvement of one of our region's most busy and vital localities. Kimberly Pratt; board member of the Community Club, chaired tonight's meeting, and invited all in attendance to consider six most salient points of the future of Murphys as arrived at by the board....
