Angels Camp, CA...We had the pleasure to spend a few minutes talking with Dennis Graspointner who is the President of the ownership group for the new McDonalds in Angels Camp. He had great things to say about how the City of Angels Camp has treated them and made sure that inspections and other details have been handled quickly and smoothly. City Development Director, David Hanham has also been on site helping them make adjustments as the project has developed. An example of this is the outside patio seating recently added to the plans for the front of the building...

Angels Camp "Big Box" Regulations Die on 2-2 Vote Last Night~ NOW Updated with Full Meeeting Video

Angels Camp, CA...In a contentious meeting where the "Big Box" regulation issue was front and center the measure died with plenty of whimpering on a 2-2 vote. One City Councilman was absent so the tiebreaker was missing. The issue is far from dead however as it will be sent back to planning and the City Attorney will also be reviewing the issue. It may come back before the City Council soon...

Angels Camp, CA...This weeks Independent Film at the Angels Camp 5 Theater is "Get Low". Show times are 7pm Wednesday and Thursday evening. This movie features Bill Murray as a scheming funeral director hired by an irascible hermit (Robert Duvall) to stage his own funeral while alive, did well at the Toronto Film Festival and was quickly bought by Sony Pictures Classics. Now there’s a trailer for the odd-looking comedy.....
