Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Friday’s weather lines up for some “Pure Mtn Fun” with a mostly sunny day with a high of 42F and a south wind in the teens with gusts into the mid 20’s. Saturday will continue the theme of Friday with a similar daytime high but increased winds as the gradient tightens up ahead of the approaching storm. Lite snowfall will begin Saturday evening with 5-9″ falling on Sunday before tapering off later in the evening after dropping a few more inches. Snow shower activity will linger through the week into Thursday with the current model runs showing agreement. Check out our Lifts and Trails page Daily for projected operations. Studio 4 Dance Theater’s 2019 Nutcracker is December 19, 20 & 21

Angels Camp, CA… Studio 4 Dance Theater presents Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker,” the classic holiday tale of Clara’s dreamlike adventures with her Nutcracker Prince in the Candy Kingdom. This year’s production brings on a new cast, stunning costumes, high tech props and spectacular special effects. Artistic Director Tammie Lee introduces the new “Angels” who open Act II this year. The “Party Scene”, bright and fun, opens the production set in the Stahlbaum home in Germany where Clara and her brother Fritz anxiously await the excitement of this holiday tradition.
Seasonal Roads and Rrails on Stanislaus National Forest Closed Dec. 16

Sonora, CA...Seasonal road and trail closures on the Stanislaus National Forest began Dec. 16 and will remain in effect until April 14, 2020. The free STF Motor Vehicle Use Map, or MVUM, indicates which roads and trails will be closed and may be picked up at any ranger district office, or by visiting STF’s maps webpage at http://go.usa.gov/x8ysh. Please note if the MVUM identifies a road as closed, regardless whether a gate is closed and locked, it is closed for the season. Additionally, roads identified in the MVUM as being open may be hazardous due to local weather conditions, such as snow or fallen trees. Drivers and hikers are urged to be prepared for hazards caused by hazard trees.

Bear Valley, CA...The Meadow Cafe is only a short, scenic over the snow walk for a wonderful mountain dining experience. Alpine Quisine Daily for Lunch from 11am to 3pm and Apres Ski dining from 3:30pm to 6:30pm Thursday through Saturday.

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! So............Scattered snow showers will prevail today as the current system and it's trough will exit later bringing with it some winds up to the mid 20's as the gradient does it's thing. With a high of 30F skiing/riding conditions should be awesome with grooming being the go to as the off-piste skiing/riding goes through it's change. Tonight cooler temps down into the mid 20's will occur then Thursday brings a mostly sunny day with temps cresting 37F. Snow shower activity returns come Saturday evening and looks to stick around for a handful of days. Moisture for that system is still forming as the models are still struggling to come together so we'll have to keep an eye on that to see which way it will turn. The Christmas Holiday week looks promising for snow so make plans and get on up here! Come check out our "Pure Mtn Fun" as we have lots of it going on!
