Saturday, November 23rd, CHBB will be hosting a “Fun’Raiser” Craft Fair and Shopping Extravaganza from 9AM to 2PM in the lower gym. You will find beautiful gifts and items to purchase, a free kid’s craft area, Santa picture taking station, and be able to bid your way through a fabulous dessert auction! All this while student band ensembles entertain with lovely holiday music....

The mission of Public, Education, and Government (PEG) Access Television in Calaveras County is to provide the people in the County with fair and reasonable access to cable television channel(s). The goals for PEG Access Television are to promote free speech, foster diverse points of view, encourage communications, create opportunities, encourage artistic expression, expand educational access, and promote participatory democracy in order to strengthen the spirit of the communities and enrich the lives of our residents and visitors...

San Andreas, CA....The Mother Lode Workforce Investment Board has vocational training and traditional education scholarships available to county residents of all ages. “The purpose of the MLWIB Scholarship is to provide individuals with training supporting the connection to job opportunities by developing skills that are needed and valued by employers,” Jeff Dickason, Executive Director of Mother Lode Job Training, said. “Our ultimate goal is to provide business with workers that have the skills that will help the business to grow and prosper and to connect each individual with a career pathway supporting their individual security and success.”

Angels Camp, CA...Dear Friends, As many of you may know, Mic Harper, band director, was instrumental (no pun intended!) in starting Rosendo's musical "career" way back in the 4th grade - little "recorders", flutes - at Michelson Elementary School. She then invited him to play on some drums at a small school performance, and that was the real beginning. Rosendo had a natural musical talent - the Rojas bloodline, not mine! - and Mic helped to nurture and encourage that. When he was in sixth grade up at Avery Middle School, she asked him to start participating in what was then the Calaveras County Community Band, and he attended Monday evening rehearsals and performances as often as he could. He joined the Avery Band, which was a class taught by Mic, and went on to attend music and band classes at Bret Harte High School under the direction of Dave Allured for four years...
