Angels Camp, CA...The Annual Luncheon and Fashion Fundraiser was held on Saturday, October 19th at Camps Restaurant at Greenhorn Creek. Dr. Shetzline delivered the keynote and their was lots of modeling by our Local Cancer Survivors. Shops from: Turners Wild West, Clothesmine in Historic Downtown Angels, Shirt Tales and V Dor A in Murphys and more. We would like to thank Kim Ruthrauff for the photos and including the ones of her daughter "Miss Calaveras" Chelsea Ruthrauff and Melody Holloway and all the others. Calaveras County is a special place with the great community support for those who have to fight this dreaded disease...

Teddy Bear Clinic Packs Hospital and Grounds with Smiling Young Faces Learning About Healthcare |

San Andreas, CA...Mark Twain Medical Center held their 7th Annual Teddy Bear Clinic last week. Close to 500 kindergartners, their teachers and parent chaperones toured the hospital in order to learn about the hospital and improve their comfort level with hospitals and all emergency responders. With the help of the California Highway Patrol San Andreas, Calaveras Sheriff’s Office, Angels Camp Police Department, Reach Air Ambulance, CAL Fire, PHI Air Medical, American Legion Ambulance and the San Andreas Fire Department, the students also had the opportunity to tour helicopters, ambulances, law enforcement emergency vehicles and fire engines, all of which are key factors for health care in our community. After touring the hospital the students had lunch with physicians and staff....
