Sonora Man Arrested Again on Arson Charges

Sonora, CA...39-year-old Tyler B. Schuster was arrested on Arson charges this afternoon. At approximately 3:45 p.m., the Police Department received a transfer from Cal Fire regarding a dumpster fire in the Cross Roads Shopping Center. A description of the responsible party was given to responding officers. One of our officers arrived approximately two minutes later minutes and located Schuster, who matched the description, fleeing from the general area.

Washington, DC...Today, Attorney General William P. Barr and FBI Director Christopher Wray announced significant developments in the FBI’s investigation of the December 6, 2019 shooting at Naval Air Station Pensacola that killed three U.S. sailors and severely wounded eight other Americans. On January 13, 2020, Attorney General Barr announced that the shooting was an act of terrorism and publicly asked Apple to help the FBI access the locked contents of two iPhones belonging to the deceased terrorist Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani. The company declined to do so.

Subaru vs Building Supports in Sonora

Sonora, CA...From the Sonora Police Department..."At around 4:00 p.m. yesterday, a northbound 2016 Subaru Legacy, veered off of the roadway and collided with two brick pillar supports at 99 North Washington Street. Fortunately, neither the 36-year-old male driver from Sonora or any bystanders were injured. The sidewalk has been temporarily closed for safety precautions. Drugs or alcohol were not a factor in this collision"

Marijuana Cultivation Eradication in Glencoe

San Andreas, CA...On May 7, 2020, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Unit served a search warrant for illegal marijuana cultivation at a residence in the 500 block of Three Cent Flat Rd, in Glencoe. Deputies located and seized 1,285 growing marijuana plants and 20 grams of processed marijuana. The grow operation consisted of several greenhouse type structures and a garage which had been converted into a growing room. Calaveras County Code Enforcement was called out to the scene and issued a notice of violation for hazardous electrical, junk, debris and unpermitted additions.

Boulder Creek Man Arrested on Various Felony Charges After Assaulting Hwy 108 Closure Gates

Sonora, CA...On May 11, 2020, at approximately 2:45PM, a CHP Officer arrested 27-year-old Anon Carpenter Bird of Boulder Creek, Ca. at the Don Pedro Lookout. Bird was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle (Chevy Silverado) and a loaded firearm. The stolen vehicle and handgun were reported stolen out of Nye County Nevada. Bird was arrested and booked in the Tuolumne County jail for multiple felony charges.

Help Needed Identifying Porch Pirate Suspect In Copperopolis

Copperopolis, CA...On May 13th, 2020 at about 10:20 AM the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a theft from a porch in the Copperopolis area. Upon arrival, deputies were able to collect security footage that showed a male in a small sedan enter the property and take the package from the victim’s porch (refer to attached photos). The deputies checked the area however, they were unable to locate the suspect or his vehicle.

La Grange Woman Lucky to Be Alive After Major Injury Traffic Collision

La Grange, CA...On May 12, 2020 at approximately 6:15 pm, 22-year-old Kelsea Tishman of La Grange was driving her 1991 Dodge Dynasty west on State Route 132, just west of Bonds Flat Road at approximately 60-65 miles per hour. She was exiting a left curve in the roadway when she allowed her vehicle to leave the westbound lane, and travel onto the north shoulder. Before she could regain control of her vehicle, the front of it struck a dirt shoulder and her vehicle rotated in clockwise direction. The left side of her vehicle impacted a tree where it came to rest.

Suspect Arrested for Assault with a Firearm and Kidnapping

Angels Camp, CA...On May 10, 2020, at about 6:30 PM the Calaveras County Dispatch Center received a 911 call regarding an argument at a residence in rural Angels Camp. Deputies were dispatched to the residence to investigate the disturbance. While responding, Dispatch received information that the victim of the disturbance was at the Shell Gas Station, Angels Camp, with injuries sustained from jumping from a moving vehicle.
