Hey Good People! Another 7" of "Pure Mtn Fun" Awaits Your Skiing & Riding Pleasure! ~ Mattly Trent
Posted by: thepinetree on 12/18/2018 10:33 AM
Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Bear Valley picked up 7″ for the storm total as we were in the “pocket” so to speak as most other resorts in the region received a few inches less than us and well, it was a ripping day! Today we’ll see mostly sunny skies with a high of 43F and SSW wind up to 9mph. Bear Valley is serving up another awesome day on the slopes as the recent snowfall has made conditions even better. Great Groomers, superb off-piste pow riding and well, our Pure Mtn Fun attitude makes this place rock. The next few days will be sunny with Wednesday seeing 51F for the high then cooling a bit for Thursday as the next small wave of weather pushes through. A disturbance in the force Thursday night could bring up to 1″ of new snow before it makes it’s exit East then another shot of snow on Saturday night. Storms have been lining up perfectly so far this season and the skiing and riding has not been this good this early in the season for some time. The Christmas Holidays are upon us so grab your Family and Friends and head on up to Bear Valley for some Great times. As always we’re about “Pure Mtn Fun” .

San Andreas, CA...From CHP San Andreas Office..."Once again Calaveras County came through for the children of our community. Our annual “CHIPS for Kids” toy drive was a huge success again. We were worried that toy collections would be down this year due to the Camp Fire but from the looks of it that is not a concern. Thank you to all that donated!"

Murphys, CA...This is an update we like to post. Their previous special was so successful that is sold out. A new and updated special is below. Black Sheep Winery arrived in Murphys with the 1984 harvest. From that first harvest we produced our 1984 Amador Zinfandel. The wine was styled in a big, bold way like nobody else could do. That's what makes us Black Sheep; we're different from the rest of the flock. We feature small batches of limited release wines handcrafted from high quality grapes grown in Calaveras and Amador Counties. We produce about 2,500 cases of wine per year, specializing in Zinfandels and Rhone varietals.

Hey Good People! Great Conditions with More Snow on the Way! Bear Valley Update by Mattly Trent!
Posted by: thepinetree on 12/16/2018 01:44 PM
Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Breezy conditions today as the approaching storm system brings with it tight surface gradients, so today and tomorrow we could see gusts upwards of 40mph at times. 40F looks to be the high for the day and snow should fall by late afternoon today. 5-9″ of new snow is expected tonight with another 1-3″ slated for early Monday. If things work in our favor we could see a few more inches than projected. We’ll move through the week with partly sunny skies and daytime temps will be in the mid to upper 40’s with lows in the 20’s. The models are not agreeing on the next system around Thursday or so but we’ll give it a few more days then see what they look like. It’s a great way to start full operations with a new coat of snow right before Christmas so don’t miss out and be sure to make plans to enjoy Bear Valley for the coming Holidays. As always we’re about “Pure Mtn Fun” .
