San Andreas... Meet Odin, a confident, well-trained boy who was abandoned by his owner. A German Shepherd Dog mix, we estimate him to be between 5 and 6 six years of age. Known for their high intelligence, courage and loyalty, German Shepherd Dogs remain one of the most popular breeds in the country. True to his pedigree, Odin is very social and bonds easily with staff and volunteers. He very much wants to please, willingly obeying “sit,” “stay” and “heel,” but what Odin adores most is a vigorous game of ball. Though Odin enjoys his people time, he doesn’t particularly care for the company of other shelter dogs so we would recommend he be the only dog in your home. At a muscular 74 plus pounds, older children would also likely be best. We believe Odin is housebroken since he keeps his kennel clean.

Murphys, CA..We had the pleasure to stop by Triffilo Garden Center to see their new Pumpkin Patch. It is adorable and makes a great destination for families and anyone getting into the fall spirit. Trifilo Garden Center will be yoru destination for fall, holidays, Christmas Trees, wreaths and much, much more. They are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday currently and additional additional opening days are coming soon. Please practice social distancing and follow posted notices. Trifilo Garden Center is a local, family-owned business located in Murphys, California. Natural Bridges Trail to Reopen as Reclamation Announces New Melones Lake Seasonal Operations Changes |

Tuttletown, CA....The Bureau of Reclamation has scheduled recreation area closures, changes to hours of operations and the reopening of Natural Bridges at New Melones Lake beginning November 1. The closures will be from November 1, 2020, through March 31, 2021, and will allow Reclamation to replace waterlines, perform other necessary maintenance tasks and allow for natural resource recovery.

Murphys, CA...Donate your gently used shoes to our annual Shoe Drive to Wear Out Poverty! Shoes will be cleaned, repaired and distributed to those in need domestically and internationally. Shoes are also provided to start micro-businesses, with proceeds going to purchase new shoes for children and adults wherever there is a need. Currently, Soles4Souls is distributing thousands of pairs of shoes to victims of wildfires in California and Oregon.
