New Melones, CA....Water Conditions: New Melones Lake is currently holding 1,515,337 acre-feet of water. The lake level dropped one foot this week and is currently at 1005 ft. above sea level and 83 ft. from full. Water temperature has cooled a bit and is in the mid to upper 70's. The lake is stained, with mud lines forming around the shore on windy days, and days with a lot of boat traffic. Good news, the lower ramp on Glory Hole Point is open, which makes for an easy walk....

Angels Camp, CA...At Friday's Quarterly Chamber Business Luncheon PG&E's Andrea Alexander gave an update to the attendees on PG&E's November plans to change how they bill for usage for business customers. Here are the details: Beginning November 2012, many Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) small and medium business customers will move to time-of-use electric rates. PG&E’s large agricultural and large commercial and industrial customers already underwent a similar transition. This is part of a statewide plan, including other California utilities, to ensure a better energy future and healthier environment...

The guest speaker will be Rico Oller, local business owner and former California State Assemblyman. Rico will provide an update on current conditions and his view on the state government.
