San Andreas, CA...The University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) invites adults interested in helping others learn about safe home food
preservation to apply to train as a Master Food Preserver (MFP) volunteer. UCCE Master Food Preserver volunteers learn research-based information and then share that knowledge with our communities in Amador and Calaveras counties through public classes, community events, and newsletters. Who Can Apply? Priority given to residents of Amador and Calaveras counties...

San Andreas, CA...We will have classic cars along with local aircraft on display and many other aircraft flying in for this event. Breakfast burritos for the early birds, pulled pork and bratwurst sandwiches for lunch. Music will be provided by the Calaveras Community Band follow by another local band "The Rusty Rockers". Airplane rides will be all day long; $10 for adults and $5 for children....

San Andreas, CA...56 projects were entered in the 30th Annual Calaveras County Science Fair, and of those 56 projects, our Science Fair judges selected winners from grades 4th – 8th and High School. The judges then selected two students to move on to participate in the 64th Annual California State Science Fair presented by the California Science Center. The State Fair will be held on Monday and Tuesday, May 18-19, 2015 located at the California Science Center located in Exposition Park, just south of downtown Los Angeles...

Elmhurst, IL...Murphys' resident Jenna Seims has earned her way onto the Dean's List at Elmhurst. Elmhurst College is a leading liberal arts college located eight miles west of Chicago.
