Some of the agenda topics being discussed will be a Minute Order Authorizing the Board Chair to sign the Hospital Preparedness Program Agreement with the California Department of Public Health for 9/1/07~8/8/08 in the amount of $177,554; They will be discussing the CalWORKS Plan; A Resolution authorizing Interim Public Works Director to execute a Professional Service Agreement with Stantec Consulting, Inc. to develop a Bridge Preventative Maintenance Plan; There will also be a Public Hearing regarding North Vista Plaza. Mark Twain St. Josephs Hospital Awards Community Grant To Fight Childhood Obesity Today |

San Andreas, CA...Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital today awarded an $18,475 Catholic Healthcare West Community Grant to the Take It To Heart Foundation, a local not-for-profit organization whose mission is to promote a heart-healthy lifestyle in the Mother Lode. The award will be used to implement their ‘Family Fit’ project in all Calaveras and Tuolumne County elementary schools. The ‘Family Fit’ project helps families establish healthier eating habits, live a more active lifestyle, increase fitness and self-esteem, and have fun together. ....

“We’re starting New, You can too” is the Calaveras County Library System theme as the library’s automated circulation system is upgraded on January 25, 2008. Library Director Maurie Hoekstra says the current system is now over 12 years old and lacks the functionality available with new systems today. It has reached “end of life” and is being phased out by the vendor.... |
