Washington, DC...My Fellow Americans, Protecting the safety and well-being of American Citizens is my highest duty as President. Yet, lawless sanctuary jurisdictions are nullifying federal law, obstructing immigration enforcement, and releasing thousands of criminal aliens into U.S. communities to prey on innocent victims. It’s absolutely terrible. For example, in recent days, San Francisco officials denied ICE’s request to turn over a criminal alien with a prior conviction for battery and a charge for driving under the influence.

Washington, DC...House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes issued the following statement today: “After more than a year, the Committee has finished its Russia investigation and will now work on completing our report. I’d like to thank Congressmen Trey Gowdy, Tom Rooney, and especially Mike Conaway for the excellent job they’ve done leading this investigation. I’d also like to recognize the hard work undertaken by our other Committee members as well as our staff. Once the Committee’s final report is issued, we hope our findings and recommendations will be useful for improving security and integrity for the 2018 midterm elections.”

Sacramento, CA...California Attorney General Xavier Becerra today submitted a 22-page comment letter to the Trump Administration, detailing the plethora of reasons why opening California’s coasts to new offshore drilling would be unjustified, unprecedented, and ill-advised. California is home to approximately 1,100 miles of world-renowned coastline, and Attorney General Becerra underscores that he is prepared to do what is necessary to protect every single one of those 1,100 miles, including going to court.

San Andreas, CA – Supervisor Michael Oliveira will be hosting a Town Hall meeting Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The meeting will be held at Independence Hall, 1445 Blagen Road. Items to be discussed will include the status of the 2017 Winter Storms Disaster Recovery Projects (Blagen Road, Canyon View Drive, Murphys Drive and Pennsylvania Gulch); establishment of temporary/permanent access/egress for Emergency Response; and the process and funding for permanent road capital improvement projects.
