San Andreas, CA...Traci Chee and Sonya Mukherjee both had their debut young adult novels released recently and are eager to come "home" and share their journey as an author. Traci Chee, author of The Reader, is a Bret Harte High School graduate and Sonya Mukherjee, author of Gemini, is a Calaveras High School graduate.

San Andreas, CA...(The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors voted 4-1 to extend the urgency ordinance until May vote of the people or county has permanent ordinance in place. Supervisor Clapp was the dissenting vote) The Calaveras County Board Of Supervisors is holding a regular meeting on Tuesday, February 14th at 8:00 a.m. On the agenda is to adopt a Resolution authorizing changes to the Fee Schedule for the Medical Marijuana Identification Card (MMIC) program, reducing the fee from $104 to $100 per application, effective November 8, 2016.

Over 3,000 Without Power In San Andreas Area..(Updated...Still 2765 Without Power) |

San Andreas, CA...(Update...there are still 2765 without power & the estimated time of restoral at 12:30pm. They are listing the cause as an equipment failure.) PG&E is working to restore power to over 3,000 customers in the San Andreas and Mountain Areas. There is a traffic incident near Whiskey Slide and Jesus Maria but we are unsure at this time if they are related.
