Murphys, CA...An opportunity for area residents to enjoy an authentic African dinner while supporting a worthy cause will be offered in the Native Sons Hall, 389 Main St., in Murphys on Friday, November 15th from 6 to 8:30 p.m.. Proceeds from the dinner will help the Abandoned Children and Youth Association (ACYA) that runs an orphanage in Uganda that houses and cares for 30 children who have lost their parents to AIDS...

Chispa Parlor #139 of the Native Sons of the Golden West will serve an All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast at the Native Sons Hall at 389 Main Street, Murphys, from 7:30 to 11:30 am on November 17. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, orange juice, coffee and hot chocolate will be served for $6 for adults and $3 for children 10 and younger.
