Planned Water Outage In West Point Area For Main Waterline Repair On August 17th |

West Point, CA...Due to main waterline repair work, about 50 customers in West Point may experience a disruption to their water service between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday August 17. Customers who live on Palmer Road, Jurs Road, Valentine Hill Drive, Bummerville Road and portions of Bald Mountain Road may experience water service disruptions.

Rollover Collision Injures 85 Year Old Santa Rosa Man |

San Andreas, CA...On August 13, 2016, at approximately 0850 hours, an 85 year old Santa Rosa man was driving his 2006 Saturn SE eastbound on SR-12 west of SR-49 at approximately 55 MPH. He allowed his vehicle to drift off the roadway onto the south shoulder of SR-12. He then lost control of his vehicle, crossed into the opposing lane, and exited the north side of the roadway. The Saturn went down an embankment, collided with a metal fence post and overturned, coming to rest on its roof.

Sheep Ranch, CA...An 18 year old Berkeley man was driving his 2011 Polaris Ranger vehicle westbound on a private driveway approaching Sheep Ranch Road and an undetermined rate of speed. He allowed the vehicle to travel off of the gravel driveway and on the north shoulder. As he was attempting to get the vehicle back onto the driveway he lost control and the vehicle rolled over onto its side ejecting both the driver and the passenger.

San Andreas, CA...It's that time to renew your membership or become a new member of Friends of the Calaveras Sheriffs Office. FOCSO is dedicated to partnering with the Calaveras County Sheriffs Office by raising funds for programs and equipment not covered, or fully covered, in the county budget. The nonprofit most recently supported projects for equipment/programs for the SO’s Crime Scene Technician, Detective Division, Sheriffs Volunteers, Youth Explorer Program, Patrol Deputies, Correction Officers, Defensive Tactics Training, Canine Program, First Aid essentials and many other projects.

Water Donation Drive Collection of Drinkable Water for Butte Fire Survivors |

Mountain Ranch, CA...Mountain Ranch Needs and Volunteers is holding a water donation drive from August 7 – August 14. We are collecting drinkable flats/cases/gallons of water for the survivors in the Butte Fire Burn Zone. The Butte Fire started on September 9, 2015. It quickly grew to be the 7th most destructive wildfire in California history. It swept through over 70,000 acres and destroyed more than 500 homes. The town of Mountain Ranch was nearly wiped completely off the map. Many are still struggling to recover

Jace Nichols, 4 Passes Away From Injures In Aug, 2nd Collision, Tyler Nichols, 31 To Be Charged With Manslaughter |

San Andreas, CA...On August 2nd Tyler Nichols, 31 was driving a 2003 Saturn southbound on Riata Way approaching Tapadero Street at approximately 30 miles an hour. He entered into a left hand curve in the roadway. He failed to negotiate the curve and traveled off the right side of the roadway onto the dirt/gravel shoulder. He attempted to regain control of the vehicle by turning sharply to the left which caused the Saturn to in a counterclockwise direction, traveled to the left across the roadway and onto the east shoulder where the right rear of the vehicle struck a large tree.
